Join us and be part of The Multiplier 2022. A programme for community leaders to receive support in their missions to build connection, belonging and power-sharing through meaningful local relationships.
Over the past ten years, The Cares Family has built five charities tackling isolation and loneliness across the generations in London, Liverpool, and Manchester. Yet despite the difference we know our work makes, we also recognise that loneliness is just one symptom of wider social disconnection. People everywhere are feeling separated from one another, especially since the onset of the pandemic.
We also know that in communities all across the UK, there are people who have brilliant and simple solutions to this disconnection – they just need the support to make those solutions work.
That’s why we are launching the second cohort of The Multiplier: A programme for community leaders to receive support in their missions to build connection, belonging and power-sharing through meaningful local relationships.
Applications opened on January 5th and will remain open until January 23rd. We’re looking for 10 exceptional community leaders to join our 2022 cohort. They will be a part of nine workshops over eight months (some online, some face-to-face) to help them to adapt, grow and multiply their initiatives as well as to deepen and broaden their impact. They will receive grants of £7,000 and coaching, as well as introductions to new networks.
Our Multipliers are leaders who know and love their communities, understand what their neighbours need to thrive, and know this much better than people based in distant centres of power. They are leaders who have creative ideas to solve challenges and respond to opportunities in their communities.
If this sounds like you and you are interested in being part of this exciting opportunity, please do attend our Information Session! During this event, attendees will find out more about the programme, hearing directly from our CEO and founder of The Cares Family, Alex Smith; our Head of Projects, Marsha Mattis, as well as from some of our amazing Multipliers from the 2021 cohort. Most importantly, they will also have an opportunity to ask questions during our Q&A segment.
However, if joining the programme is not the right time for you, but you know others for whom it would be, please help us in spreading the word. We want as many bridge builders as possible to know about this amazing opportunity. We cannot wait to continue to work with, encourage and support some of the most promising local changemakers in the UK.
